Following our West coast US road trip, we returned to Japan for a short while before hopping over to Taipei for a 3-day break! Along the way, we met up with Elly's long-term friend Bonnie (vlog debut!) and our friend Steve who we'd previously spent an evening shooting in Tokyo a couple of years earlier.
During the first couple of days, it was raining extremely heavily, but that didn't get in the way of our photography! We had so much fun exploring the streets and markets of Taipei for hours and hours. Taiwan had been at the top of my destinations to visit for multiple years and I'm so happy to have finally been, and also to have finally seen Taipei 101! The streets are insanely photogenic with so much character. I'm definitely eager to return and see more of Taiwan for a longer time!

I've just recently come across your channel and I'm enjoying these videos so much. It's very different from my own videos and what I like to shoot, but it's super relaxing and enjoyable to watch. Keep it up, man!
I absolutely agree with you about the rain, the photogenic, the little walking man at crossroads, the food, and the patience of the drivers (of course not comparing to Canada or the USA... no comment on Austria lol... but I do find Polish drivers are exceptionally patient). Thank you for coming to visit Taipei, my hometown, and Taipei 101. The magic always awaits you at the corner. I am just glad it hasn’t gone too touristy yet other than a few spots. One of my favorite episode, especially the photos here -- they are look gorgeous. The rain really make a difference and something that will push me to get a WR camera upgrade form my current non-WR Fuji

Great video and agree with the rain. My highlight was a wet night in Osaka and photographing down a narrow street with lights reflecting from the road, steam coming from a local restaurant and through it all, a lady with an umbrella. I was transported into a Blade Runner world...

What a great video and like you’re self I have an obsession with the 101 building. We came back from dubai on Monday and whilst we loved going to the top of the Burj Khalifa 101 is in my heart .
Shall be heading off there next year for 10 days and this video was superb, cheers and yes I’m from Watford lol
rain shots looked so good! Going to visit the in laws in Tainan in December. You should check out down there, the old capital. have a look at the night markets too, though they are hideously crowded..

Love your videos! Question for you and other viewers: I’m new to Fujifilm coming from Canon. I’m having so much trouble with Fuji RAW files on Lightroom and getting wormy artifacts. I’ve read about it in forums, downloaded Iridient software, turned sharpness down...nothing seems to fully solve the problem. Would love to use these presets Joe sells but I’m finding myself working in Capture One more. Would love your thoughts!
That shot at 14:10 is MONEY. Too bad it was raining, the views from Elephant Mountain are really worth it, and it's not too far to walk either.
I'm strongly considering either the xt3 or the xh2 (when it come out) your xh1 seems to be doing wonderfully in all types of lighting. Do you find it adequate for most situations? I'm also considering the a7iii and the z6, but because of lense cost and weight I'm leaning towards aspc.
